Nordia Alisa Brown was born in Jamaica West Indies. She moved to Queens, New York in July 1996. In
1998, Nordia relocated to the beautiful Pine Hill Estate area of Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania. She
attended Northampton Community College, where she earned an Associate Degree in Business
Administration. She then went on to East Stroudsburg University and is currently completing a
dual-major in Business Management and Economics and specializing in Accounting.
She is also currently pursuing an Associate Degree in Teaching.
During the beginning of her studies at East Stroudsburg University, Nordia cared for her three younger
siblings while her mother was serving in Iraq for the United States Armed Forces.
Upon completing her studies at Northampton Community College, Nordia also began to pursue a
career in Accounting in an accounting firm located just outside of Mount Pocono,
where she is still currently employed.
In 2007, Nordia acquired a license as a Pennsylvania Real Estate Agent. Real Estate is more of a
personal venture than a career for Nordia. Back in 2001, Nordia began a journey that started out with a
pen and a piece of paper and today that pen and paper have become a reality in what is now known as
Safe Haven Daycare, located in Mount Pocono Pennsylvania. She created a plan, put that plan into
motion and now is the proud owner of Safe Haven Daycare. In 2000, Nordia developed a passion for
children and wanted to help in any way possible and this is how Safe Haven Daycare came to life.
Nordia is very active in church and serves in different ministries. Her dream and desire is to help others
in need and to serve the Lord. She poses a passion to help where help is needed.
Nordia is currently the president of Safe Haven Daycare, a co-founder of Youth Infusion in Monroe
County, a Real Estate Agent, an Activist, an Accountant and a missionary for Christ.
